From Atlanta to Marrakech: Global Voices for Animals
A huge thank you to the Center for Language and Culture in Marrakesh, Morocco, for welcoming our team for an unforgettable intercultural discussion! During our visit to the Intermediate 5 English class, we had the incredible opportunity to exchange stories about pets and street animals, explore Morocco’s inspiring local welfare initiatives, and introduce our Artists to Animals art contest to the students.
Hearing directly from the youth in Marrakech reinforced why these cross-cultural conversations matter so much; it was so wholesome to share warming stories about our pets at home!
During the discussion, a student notes: "I took care of a dog for 6 months. It’s a street dog, and I wanted to vaccinate it, and I wanted to vaccinate it and take it home because it was just at the street where I live" (20:31).
Connecting with these passionate young minds reminded us that compassion truly speaks a universal language.
